Catacombs of Paris and Sainte-Chapelle

This Trip: FROM 2015.07.18 TO 2015.07.19

Out of the standard touristic route we visited the Catacombs of Paris and Sainte-Chapelle during this 2-day weekend trip. We also enjoyed a great show at the Moulin Rouge and finally got to taste some deliciousness at Pavillon Élysée Lenôtre. It's also worth mentioning that the walk up the Eiffel Tower to the 2nd floor isn't as hard as imagined.

Catacombs of Paris

This is a must-see. The attraction opens at 10 and it's EUR10 per entry. We arrived at around 9 to join the super long queue and waited for almost two hours before the visit. It's a good idea to breakfast in the queue. Do bring along a jacket as it can be quite chilly underground. We spent two hours inside, including time for photography of course.

I've been to Paris several times but never noticed there's this Sainte-Chapelle, because it really doesn't look anything impressive at all from the outside. 8.5 per entry is quite expensive for a church of this size, but the magnificent interior is really worth seeing.

Féerie at Moulin Rouge

Great show! The dinner menu Belle Epoque is however nothing exceptional. We loved the desserts though. ***No photography allowed within the venue.

At first we came across the patisserie of Lenôtre but really not at the right time for desserts, and then we came up with this idea of lunching in a Lenôtre nearby, if any. Luckily there it is - Pavillon Élysée Lenôtre. So so so delicious. The Peche Melba was phenomenal.
